yes, since friday, doxycycline. And the vet opens at 8am tomorrow morning, so its back up there to see how well she's doing and maybe get a blood transfusion. She's continuing to do okay. She's well enough that she's getting picky about how/where she sleeps. If she's not in a comfortable position, s...

I must thank Skoth, I think you saved the puppy's life.

Your suggestions about keeping her mouth closed and working her throat helped us get 3 tsp of food and 4 syringes of liquid in this morning.

She's already doing better than last night, and I'm back to cautious optimism.

THANK YOU!

Canine Ehrlichiosis is what she's got.

vet said her hemoglobin was at 10-14% i think he didnt suggest an iv/hospitalization cause she's so small.. 1.5lbs.

no emergency number on the vet's card though.

the little one we are trying to save from tick fever has gone downhill. we are trying to force pedialyte and babyfood in with a syringe, but she's not really swallowing the baby food, and she's figured out that if she doesnt open her teeth with the syringe, she doesnt have to swallow. we also found ...

Well the little girl is doing much much better than her brother did at this stage. She's up and walking around, and is in fairly good spirits. Her brother couldn't even walk. Another difference is that she's fighting us with the syringe. At this stage, her brother just laid back and let us do whatev...

I'm so glad we were able to help save him.. he's gorgeous! :inlove: :inlove:

If we just hadn't decided to keep the new little girl, I'd be begging hubby to see if he could be shipped to El Paso! :))

Bully Sticks are 100% Bull penises I know that is true, but it still cracks me up to read it. Imma bad Aunt. My 16 yr old neice is coming out to visit us in a week and a half, and we have carefully not said anything about bully sticks around her. We are waiting until she gets out here, and has one ...

Shelby just got her last vaccination last week, so I think that's not a worry. Hubby took them to the vet this morning, and they had a checkup both have eye infections and are a little malnourished, but otherwise checked out okay. I didn't think to tell him to ask about vaccinations, and he didn't s...

GAH! I hate stories like that. Ya know what we did? We realized we couldn't sell our house in VA with the animals there... so we moved in with my parents... animals included. Then we spent a chunk of our house sale money to buy a vehicle that would hold all the animals, crates for them, ramps, food,...
