Re: New puppy food switch + parvo question

You definitely should not be walking your pup around. Especially since the vet warned about the chances of being infected. Wipes on the paws will not help against infection. Any place where other dogs have access is a potential infection area. If your pup has a sensitive digestive system, he might g...

Sounds like she had a good run. May we all have our dogs as long as you had. :)

Re: mouth ulcer

On the eye?!
How aweful and irritating that would be. Much rather have them in the mouth. :)

Re: Time for euthanasia?

I personally wouldn't euth a dog with that pro/con list. Just sounds like an old dog, not a sick one. :)

Re: mouth ulcer

Soft tissue injuries heal very quickly. I wouldn't worry. No need to mess with it. Just check on it to make sure it's healing. There should be a noticeable change from one day to the next.

Re: More frequent BM on grain free?

My dogs eat a little raw and 1meal(1 cup) of grain free dog food a day. They poop maybe 3-4x a day, but its a small amount each time. I think the morning poop is the biggest. If that helps lol

I don't think it's a good idea while they're still healing, but afterwards it should be fine.

Re: ACL repair. To knife or not.

Just got back from the 6 week post op appointment. They took x rays. The vet said everything is healing beautifully. I'll have her started on the carpet mill in two weeks. She's such a tough little bitch. Right now, she's passed out on my bed. They knocked her out and brought her back in about 10 mi...

Did she have the same problem while on the Science Diet?

How much does she eat and how often?

How long have you had this dog?

Re: Rabbit?

If you want fatty meat, grocery store beef and pork work well. Anything that's on sale works. Too much fat isn't good, though. Excessively fatty meat can be trimmed, unless you enjoy liquid poo clean up. lol

Re: Rabbit?

I've been known to feed whole rabbits, rats and guinea pigs to my dogs. All parts of the animal are good for your dog. :)
