Re: Need help with my boyfriends dog...

What about changing the traditional training words? Maybe it's the word "down" or "sit" that's negative for her.

Re: socializing my puppy

You can bring your pup out and about, but don't put it on the ground or let it come into contact with unknown/unvaccinated dogs. You will still get the people socializing in. :)

Re: New puppy food switch + parvo question

You definitely should not be walking your pup around. Especially since the vet warned about the chances of being infected. Wipes on the paws will not help against infection. Any place where other dogs have access is a potential infection area. If your pup has a sensitive digestive system, he might g...

Re: Bringing new puppy home! leash question

Puppies should not be loose in the house. If they are not house broken, they should be on a leash, or confined to the room you are in. They should never be out of sight from you. They are babies, who cannot be trusted not to get into trouble and/or hurt themselves. :)

Re: 2 y/o pitbull overprotective/afraid of people?

Hi :hi I too am in a wheelchair and have a pit bull. It sounds like your dog is more fearful than protective. Since she is nipping, she shouldn't be allowed to freely come into contact with new people. Nips can easily escalate into bites, down the road from now. These days, a pit bull who bites, doe...

Just as long as you pay close attention to both of their body languages. Make sure that one is not fearful or uncomfortable with the other.

I personally wouldn't euth a dog with that pro/con list. Just sounds like an old dog, not a sick one. :)

Re: mouth ulcer

Soft tissue injuries heal very quickly. I wouldn't worry. No need to mess with it. Just check on it to make sure it's healing. There should be a noticeable change from one day to the next.
