Last time I tried to blow in shadow's nose, he thought it was a game, and tried to bite my nose.

Shadow had the hiccups one night last week. I just treated it like human hiccups and popped a bag, and they stopped. Then I felt bad 'cause it scared him, but he then tried to "attack" the bag.

Is it different for dogs than us?

Hope everything works out.

I just have to say, that you gotta love it when you hear "it looks funky" in a vets office.

I've heard that from my vet too, nothing against it 'cause they don't know until the results were back. But makes me laugh hearing a doctor saying that.

I just put the whole egg with his food, not crunched up. Shadow eats the food, then plays with the egg in the bowl.

Addison's Disease

I just thought that I'd post this thread, since I did not see any info in the forum. As some of you know, my Shadow, was diagnosed with Addison's on June 8. He's back to his old self, which took a little over 1 month. Addison's, unfortunately, is not a very well known illness. Too often it g...

For the salmon oil, I used to give 1000 mg for every 20 lbs, but since he has Addison's Disease..I increased it to 1000 mg for every 10 lbs. As far as vitamin E, to help process the oils, he gets 400 iu per day.

I don't feed pork to Shadow. His normal meals consists of chicken, red meat, liver, and garlic. 3 times a week he gets an egg, and once a week I give him tripe. I supplement with Flaxseed or Salmon oil, and vitamin E.
