slight DA

As many of you know we recently adopted a new little girl, Olive. She's about 2 and extremely great with People. She's LOVES Rod, never had a problem with them getting along since day 1. However, she seems to have developed a short fuse with other dogs. As soon as another dog shows any sign of aggre...

I bought Rod a mattress. There isn't much to chew at. If they don't chew your bed, than this might be a good alternative to squishy doggy beds.

what medication did he send home?? We always recommend surgery as a first option rather than a last option. Surgery is the best way to prevent scarring and deformation of the ear and results in the shortest healing time. yeah, he didn't send any meds home. which i thought was odd. He said they've b...

I already have meds for ear infection, but the vet didn't say he had an ear infection. It could be from the 2 dogs rough housing. Its slowly starting to fill back up with blood, so I'll probably have to bring him back in for another drainage if it doesn't go back down. Thanks everyone. The pain kill...

yeah, they just drained it. He said it is common for it to have to be drained a couple times or even 3 times. He thinks surgery would be last option.

Sometimes they get hematomas.
Is his ear gunky inside?

he does get ear infections from time to time. But never like this. Yes he has some gunkiness in there. I think his ears are definitely infected, but I havent had this before.

Well I literally just walked in from a business trip. Rod's right ear is swollen. I've already made an appointment at the vet for today. Linda called me up yesterday, while I was gone, about him have some sensitivity problems. She said he had a wet spot on his belly and he seems to have some discomf...

wow thanks. I'll have to join. I fed them the wings last night and this morning. Rod was a bit shocked but quickly got to munching away at the bones. Afterwards I fed Olive and she pounced on them, crunching away. I was surprised she took to it so fast. She ate faster than rod did. Hopefully she che...

holey long post batman! X 2

lol . I think the steamed rice and chix idea is a good one. I would try that for a couple days than gradually add another kibble. Also I agree with the vet visit. It could be a stomach issue.

our little girl olive has this problem. Days after a bath she's ripe again. Its related to her skin problems, allergies. Some times it environmental allergies. She gets real itchy and her belly and arm pits stink like dog. Recently someone recommended Selsem Blue as an alternative. i'm about to give...

i have concrete floors in the house so this helps me. Walking a lot also helps. One benefit of living in the city is walking them on the sidewalk. Rod HATES getting his nails clipped and so do I, clipping them that is. So I'll just drag him around on the rough concrete side walks. lol j/k. The dreme...

call the vet where you got the dewormer from. It doesn't cost anything for information over the phone.
