Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

dogsbite did and made quite a production about the fact that they did so. pit bulletin legal news says the ASPCA filed one as well. those are the only ones i've heard about.

Re: Trifexis -- how's it working out for you?

tucker's been scratching a lot since we gave it to him, but i can't find a single flea, or trace of fleas, on him. so i think it's working for us, too. it's definitely easier and cleaner than the topicals!

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

A glimmer of hope! The Maryland Dog Federation and the Maryland Animal Law Center say a state rep does plan to introduce legislation during the special session this month! That does not fix things, obviously, and they may never even hear the bill, which is why everyone should keep writing the govern...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Maryland Votes for Animals is holding a call-in day today. Call Gov. Martin O'Malley and request that he allow legislation to overturn pit bull ruling during this summer's special session.

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

her point is not that it's immune to trouble, but that it's not made in a plant where 30 other foods are made, which means it's not going to be cross-contaminated by problems brought over from other foods that end up contaminated. so, no cross-contamination, basically. i guess time will tell.

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

no, we're talking federal. and i'm not saying the u.s. supreme court would or should hear the case or that the defendant's attorney would bring it. i'm saying it could be brought for the court to consider, should the appropriate party decide to try. the court could dismiss it and that would be that....

I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

And I just wanted to add that, yes, my earlier posts on this were speculative and not totally accurate. But like a lot of people, the past few weeks I've been researching and talking to people, and it's been good to get more accurate info. I actually just added a note to my earlier post (which snikl...

I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Why so adversarial, snikles? Legally, there are three ways this can be handled and yes, people should write their legislators but it's simply inaccurate that the **only** way to bring a challenge is through the legislature. I have no idea why the supreme court would bother with such a case, but the ...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

that's not true at all. there are three ways to challenge this ruling: writ of certiori (take it to the supreme court) legislative effort (maryland general assembly must pass bill) motion for reconsideration (lawyers can file a motion to request that the court reconsider the case) somebody is workin...

Fleas!

We have used natural flea soaps made with Neem oil and they work really well, too! They kill fleas but to repel them, you'd need a Neem spray that you would need to apply daily. There are a lot of them on the pet supply market these days.

Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

Yikes. I switched over to something called Hi-Tek Naturals a few months back because the woman at our local, small dog food store keeps on top of the production stuff. She lies it because it's made in a small plant, not one where lots of other foods are made. My dogs are doing well on it and it's th...
