Wilmington, Del. considering lifting restrictions

In Maryland, they decide to go whole-hog anti-pit bull, while in places where they tried restrictions, they're now trying to lift them. Wilmington is considering repealing its breed-specific restrictions, in place for the past 12 years. http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20120503/NEWS/205030324

Trifexis -- how's it working out for you?

I know several people on here have said that they use Trifexis for fleas, worms, and HW prevention. We just switched the dogs over to it May 1, after years of using Ivomec ivermectin for HW and Frontline or other topicals for fleas. We were struggling with the topicals -- Advantage and Advantix gave...

Re: Buddy Girl needs some good thoughts.

oh no. so sorry to read all this. poor girl. i know that button's stomach is usually upset for a couple of days after he's been put under, so maybe that's what her issue is right now. have you asked your vet whether mirtazapine might help? it's an appetite stimulant that works by quelling nausea, an...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Rescues should not adopt dogs to Tenants because their landlords will tell them that they must move or give up the dog. We already have seen this. If you are a tenant and your lease does not have a "no pets" clause, your landlord should not evict you until the lease is up but s/he probabl...

Re: What it looks like when they remove a nail

Thanks for the photos, Val. Glad to see Tux's nails are coming back ... I'm thinking Button's probably will, too. They said it should. He's pretty dinged up and missing some parts already (including some brain cells), so even if it didn't grow back,it'd just be another thing to add to the list! :)

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Some shelters freezing pit bull adoptions ... great. So Dogsbite saw that the Soleskys failed to get BSL passed in Bmore County and instead managed to find a way to just make sure as many pit bulls in the state are killed as possible. Some intrepid reporter -- if there is one out there -- should pro...

I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

NAIA emailed me back already. That had no idea this was happening, and they said they were going to talk to the legal department to see if there's anything they can do.
