Re: Need some allergy help PLEASE!

Calendula Tea works wonders. I have a dog who gets very bad skin irritations (flea allergies among other things) and someone suggested this to me. I did it one day after I saw her skin was very red and itchy and within 30 mins of doing it her skin wasn't inflammed anymore. You can get the tea leave...

Re: Need some allergy help PLEASE!

Thanks! I'm going to check out the site right now. This poor guy has had one thing after the other. We rescued him a year ago and it's been a long road getting him up to par. He has this issue we are having now, flea allergies, chronic ear infections (vet says it may be from a hormone that causes hi...

Re: Need some allergy help PLEASE!

He gets the depo-medrol about every other month or two (his last one was at the end of March). I'm supposed to call the vet again tomorrow to try to see if he wants to get him on a regular sched (Even been looking into ordering it and giving the injections myself, was told it was an option w/ the ex...

So I haven't been on in a while, been a bit busy w/ everyone and everything blah! BUt anyhow, we are starting to have some issues with Monty and his allergies again. Re: Ear/Skin Issues...need help!

He does currently have an ear infection, I've been cleaning it out and giving him drops 2x a day (drops the vet gave me for him) the drops just don't seem to be helping. I have been feeding him Retriever since I got him, I rescued him last Nov and he was all skin/bones w/ missing hair, he never show...

Re: Stunning Blue Fawn Girl Desperately Needs Home Can Trans

Is this girl still looking for a home? How is she with kids? And where is she located? My hubby and I have been talking about maybe adding another dog, and well, I'm in love! :)

Zena in Michigan

This little girl wandered into the right place, she was found as a stray by the daughter of my local animal shelter. The girl already has an 11 year old pit and a 15 yr old pit and is unable to keep this pretty little girl! She is a pit/lab mix with an estimated age of about 1 year. She is great wit...

lol so I tried to give Monty a raw chicken leg quarter, and well, he sniffed it, turned up his nose and refused to eat it! Should I start with a smaller peice of meat?

Re: Switching food, couple questions

lol thanks WJ! for some reason he doesn't always wanna believe what I say...he's somewhat over paranoid lol! I do know about the over excitment with new things, and will definitely watch for getting defensive (Don't forsee it being an issue as he isn't like this w/ bones toys etc.,) My fiance just w...

Re: Switching food, couple questions

Thanks guys! Another quick question (for the fiance's peace of mind lol) He is afraid that feeding raw food and such is going to bring out the dogs 'primal side' and make him act out and maybe start to get aggressive with his food. I told him that I didn't think it would...as its just different food...
