Re: sleeping/'dreaming'

Some of the noises they make are sooo funny! This kinda goes with this, but has anyone seen the video of the dog that was asleep and got up and took of running into the wall??? LMFAO!!! The poor thing was like WTH did I just do?! You can't help but feel bad, but you also can't help but giggle :) htt...

Transport ?

I just found out about a dog in need in NY. She is on death row and doesn't have much time. I am considering fostering her, but am wondering if anyone could help transport her to me here in MI. I have been thinking about getting into fostering lately but have to be careful of course because the kids...

Re: puppy in apt is it possible?- crate training

It is possible to have a puppy in an apartment (I've had up to 3 rescue puppies in an apartment with no problems) but like everyone else has said, it depends on the puppy. The first few nights can be pretty rough with whinning and such. Just wanna throw this out there...hopefully you have checked wi...

Re: happy tail?

Monty had happy tail really bad when I got him. The whole tip of his tail was raw and bloody. I tried bandaging and trying to put my hand on either side of his tail when he wagged it to limit the movement and also to limit what the tail would hit lmao! It worked! But I'm also a stay at home mom so i...

I think it's the blowing his air out the lips or the zebra noises that I was trying to describe!

sleeping/'dreaming'

So I have had lots of dogs that 'dream', you know the legs kicking like they're chasing something. Monty, is a little different lol. He squeaks like a squeaky toy, makes this weird noise...kinda like he takes a deep breathe, then blows it out and its like a 'ar ar ar' with his lips flapping (hard to...

Re: Destruction ?

thanks! I will definitely try that. I am wondering though if he will play with it when I'm gone, because now that I think of it, he won't eat when I'm gone. I'm still gonna give it a try though, maybe I'll just make sure there are some 'extra special' treats in there to get his attention.

Re: Destruction ?

We do the walks, I take him running with me between 2-4 times a week (depends on when I have a babysitter to go). I'm gonna be getting the stuff this weekend to build him a spring pole, I got him a toy that dispenses treats, but want to get him a better one, like a buster cube or there is one that l...

Re: We did good!!!

Wow thats awesome. How long have you been working on that issue? Oh, I see you said for a couple days. Sorry  Thanks! We've actually been working on the DA since around the end of December (a little bit when the opportunity came up) but since the end of March and it's been nicer out and more ...

Re: Destruction ?

So far so good! I've tried leaving for short periods of time and placing him in the back room (only bout 15-30 mins) and nothing is getting chewed! We still have a doorknob :) and the two boxes that were back there are still in place. He hasn't gotten out of the yard again (I've been standing at the...

We did good!!!

So I've been trying to work with Monty on his DA and we've been making good progress when we walk w/ other dogs (both females, and he is muzzled). But we have still been having issues when we go for walks w/ him being to interested in going after other dogs/squirrels. Well, we just got back from a 4...

Destruction ?

Ok, I'm at a loss! So since I got Monty in November, he's been the perfect dog! Behaved in the house when we left, didn't have to be kenneled or anything, got along with EVERYONE! greeted ppl happily on walks etc. We only had one incident in the beginning where he ate a doorknob, or I guess just rea...

Re: Tomatos?

thanks everyone! I was worried for a bit! lol Seems everyone is being fed things they shouldn't have today...my daughter (2yo) gave Monty a tomato, her 'buddies' crayons, and her fish cheese...ugh Luckily I got everything from the boys and the fish...
