It was rather slow-motion attack, but very forceful. He bit him several times- hand, arm, leg and hip. Josh called for help because Sinclair would not stop. If these bites actually were bites and broke skin, this is very scarey. If it's just inappropriate puppy nipping, then maybe the dog can be wo...

I have nothing helpful to add. Only that I'm interested in this thread because I am on the fence myself; trying to decide if the severity and persistence of allergy symptoms warrents moving forward with the injections. I have to say the anaphylactic shock side effects rather put me off. :frown: I'm...

My dog also gets allergy shots, probably for about 6 months now. We've seen a very slight improvement and I'm hopeful we'll continue to see more! Definitely worth it IMO.

She was vaccinated sometime around 4/11/08 (I'd have to check the form for an exact date, but that's when she came to the shelter). I sort of knew the answer to this question already but my assistant manager is insisting that the dog didn't have parvo - even though he didn't see the dog. We even did...

Vet tech here :) I'm currently employed in an Emergency Clinic and prior to that I worked in a clinic at a shelter. I would say that all signs point to a parvo positive case. Has treatment already started or has an appropriate alternative decision been made? Just out of curiosity; How old is the do...

vets/techs parvo question

might seem like a weird question, but we're having a little disagreement right now here.... 1. dog presents symptoms of parvo: bloody diarrhea, dehydration, listless, weak, etc. 2. smells like parvo. 3. dog tests a strong positive for parvo (Idexx SNAP test). could the dog have anything OTHER THAN p...

what a joke. your dogs are not certified in anything, that's baloney. if you don't even know that male dogs don't go into heat, you certainly aren't knowledgeable enough to know about health testing and the like. and is this female the one with all the allergy issues? great idea to pass on those gen...

trouble regulating temperature

this question is probably more appropriate for a pug or peke message board, but nevertheless, the issue plagues my pit bull. wednesday has an extremely difficult time regulating temperature and overheats quickly. she has a pretty short muzzle - not brachycephalic or anything, but shorter than your a...
