Sounds normal to me. Felony has her own zoomie path in the house. Whenever we would grab her leash she would take off, jump over the couch, race around the coffee table barely missing the tv, zoom through the dining room, around the table, and stop at the front door. I was so worried that she was go...

Felony managed to destroy our first couch. That was a learning experience. Now I just cover the couches with a washable slip cover that can take a beating. When company comes over I can remove the cover and still have a decent couch underneath! As far as grass goes....I have no advice there. My yard...

Turns out, my husband's aunt had one sitting in her garage collecting dust that she was just happy to be rid of. I'll make sure to take pictures of her using i...

Well we found a treadmill and we're going to pick it up tonight. Thanks everyone for all the help. Good for you! She'll prolly love it! I couldn't help but laugh at the pictures you took of her where you circled her little fat belly. POOR GIRL! If she knew you did that she would probably...

Sorry you're stressed. I was a nervous wreck when I had my dog spayed so I feel your pain. All the stress is worth it though if you don't have to deal with messy heats and strange dogs barking at your door every 6 months. Good luck and tell Keela that Felony and I said to get well soon!

Pittiepride - They do look like the enjoy it. How long do you let them walk on the treadmill and how often? I don't want to overdo it with Felony so what would be a good schedule to start with? Annika - Thanks for the suggestion. If only the weather would stop being so miserable so she could get bac...

Thanks for the suggestion Linariel. I'll try changing her food and cutting back on it a little bit to see if I can tighten her tummy. I have the feeling that I'm going to be pretty unpopular around my house for a little bit. Cutting back on the kibble and investing in a treadmill...my spoiled brat i...

Just out of curiousity though, where did you find your treadmill? 90.00 isn't too bad to pay for one. If I could find one for under 200 dollars I'd give it a try....then if she didn't like it I wouldn't be out too much money. Got it off craigslist from somebody that just wanted to get rid of it. Im...

I've given some serious thought to a treadmill before. My only worry is that she wouldn't like it. Felony gets bored pretty easily. We have to keep her exercise varied to keep her happy. We have a chuck it for her tennis balls and I think she would fetch balls until she had a heatstroke. She also lo...

Thanks for the advice Pipbull. That is a weight pull harness...she normally loves to pull stuff around in her cart. We just haven't done hardly any pulling at all this summer due to the heat. I'll be really glad when fall gets here so she can get back into her exercise routine. I really hate GA summ...

Exercise advice please.

Well Felony has always been a chunky pup. Lately though, due to us being busier than usual and very hot, miserable GA weather, Felony has had a small decline in her exercise. She's always had a somewhat flabby tummy, but now it's getting a bit worse. Are there any specific exercises/activities that ...

ha ha -- looks like she's humping the ball! I don't like the boomer ball - the sheer weight of it detracts. Matilda played with the cheap balls (LOVED THEM) at my parents' house. I got her two boomers (6" and 10"0 and she won't touch them. They don't roll very far, and don't bounce). I'm ...

I saw an ad in a dog magazine for "soft claws," which are nail caps for dogs. They seem like a good idea (and I like the colors they come in) but I have no idea if they work or not. Does anyone have any experience with them? I just wanted to know if they were bully tested before I buy them...

That sounds like Felony. She adores kids. Any child under the age of about 4 she would just be gentle with on her own for some reason, but with the bigger kids she would try to crawl into their laps! I don't know much about training so I might be just rambling here, but we were able to break Felony ...
