i would like to try that stuff in my sled dog's trail snacks. i am always looking for new products to try out on these athletes. it looks like it would really be a good "fuel" and i bet their coats will shine too.

if it is a no win battle, then just pick a good quality kibble. i feed raw for half the year and a high quality (working dog) kibble the other half. my dogs always look great, and they work hard and recover quickly on either diet. my dogs work VERY hard, training for 20-50 miles per day, 5 days a we...

i do not have any experience with trying to persuade my SO into a certain type of food. i do know a lady that her SO would not let her feed anything but science diet. i helped her convince the SO to get a better kibble. it took a few months, but they did it, the less poop thing was a big hit there, ...

well, i think less poo is better. i hate picking up poo, especially big piles. but seriously, you should be fine if you have those books.

i have a 5 month old here now that is 19.2lbs. i expect her to get to 35-40lbs fully grown (perfect size in my mind) if you are feeding her a quality diet, and she is free of parasites, she should be fine, maybe she will have a growth spurt here soon? as long as she appears to be healthy, and not to...

if that is the best option for her, then i would do it. if she is going to keep getting them and cropping would help, then do it. see what the vet says, what her options are. we had to have an adult pit bull's tail amputated many years ago, i got used to it, and it even became "cute" to me...

is she getting bone too? if there is only muscle meat, it will be dark. the bone they eat is what usually causes it to come out very light colored and very solid/small.

all three of my guys had some white/clear eye boogies for a few days when the plants/trees outside started being green again. it only lasted a few days, and they are fine now. i am sure it will happen again as the lilacs start to produce pollen. not sure with your dog, maybe it is something similar?

i think she looks good. people are just so used to seeing fat dogs, they think that is what they are supposed to look like. when anyone says my dogs are too thin, i just flash them a bit of my side and say"you can see more of my ribs than you can see on the dog" i am by no means "skin...

they are a lot of work for sure! but so worth it. when i can hook up a team and go out into the woods a hundred miles and camp in total silence, only me and my dogs, that is pure heaven to me. so did you figure out what her rash is? i am curious now.

yeah gas prices are killing me! though i feed 20+ dogs (sled dogs) a food that costs $42 per bag in the winter and a lower fat formula at $34 per bag in the summer. i have found that i feed less of the "good stuff" so in the end it costs about the same and (this is my favorite part) i have...
