They want to buy Nutro because its profitable and its a niche market they can get into more easily by purchasing an established company than by starting their own (who would really believe Mars was interested in holistic food?). MARS has owned a "holistic" organic line of human food calle...

Both of our dogs are cat turd eaters. Most dogs are if allowed to do it. Guarantee they're eating them if they are squirrelling them away in different parts of the house. We finally put a gate up in the room where the litterbox is that the cat can get through but the dogs can't. I wents so far as to...

I can't imagine you'll have a problem pulling over for fuel anywhere in Missouri. It's not like there is an animal control officer at truck stops and rest areas scouting for illegal pit bulls. Most of the cities with pit bull restrictions are in suburban St. Louis and Kansas City.

Interesting question. I switched both of our dogs to Canidae from Merrick. The dogs loved the Merrick and their coats were really nice but after awhile Merrick didn't agree with them intestinally. I've noticed that my Pit mix is shedding more than she has in the past. The Canidae seems to be agreein...

Galileo bones are perfect for those real hard chewers. NylaBone makes them. They are super hard plastic and the bone kind of flakes off in tiny bits which the dog easily passes. I've used them for a long time with no troubles. My pit-x will chew on it for hours.

That's a good idea to dress up a wire pen. Norm Abrems of The New Yankee Workshop should build one of those on his show.

Holy smokes! I hope he recovers nicely. We had a 14 yr old Weim that was so full of fatty tumors that she looked like a bag of golf balls.

We just added a rescued Weimaraner to our household and Liesel (our Pit mix) gets pretty morose when I take the Weim and do not take her. Liesel still gets her share of quality time. She's small enough to curl up between my legs on the couch and she does that when ever possible. Molly the Weimaraner...

...I guess what im saying is that if he is ok with cats, that is managable. The cats have their space, the dogs have theirs and as long as he wouldnt be agressively trying to dig at the bedroom door to get them, we could manage. Any ideas? That is exactly what I was thinking. I've emailed the rescu...

Does that mean he wants to eat them or does he just like to chase them? I've worked with dogs that like to chase and have been successful, and our cat is pretty fast.
