There's the rub, if you will. Wouldn't this chemical castration disqualify a dog for conformation shows as well? Neutered is neutered.

The Nylabones are great if your dog likes them. Not all dogs do. We buy a Galileo Bone about once every 3-4 months and Liesel gnaws on it constantly. Our old dog wouldn't touch the Nylabones or the hard, hollow real bones.

We've had Liesel on both Canidae and Wellnes Super 5 mix. She likes the Wellness better than the Canidae. Her breath stinks and she farts on occasion with the Wellness. She never farted with the Canidae. The Wellness is alot more expensive, but my wife wanted to throw some business to friends of her...

Apples are ok as far as I know. As for the core, Liesel won't eat them, but our Weimaraner ate them for 14 years and they never bothered her. She would even go out and eat the windfall apples in the yard, but that did make her sick after she ate about a dozen one time.

All the lawn services are mulching plant beds and trees down here in the lower midwest. Some of this mulch smells like vomit...Liesel loves it. You've really got to watch her close or she's rolling in it before you realize it.

I haven't noticed what Liesel does exactly when she chews her nails but she does seem to prefer the rears.

If she's going to trim her own nails that's fine with me. She has always beeen an donkey when clipping her nails unless my daughter is distracting her with a giant spoonful of peanut butter

Liesel bites her nails

I sat down the other night to cut Liesels nails and found that most of them did not need to be clipped. I couldn't figure that out because it had been several months since her last trim. Last night as I'm reading the paper I hear this clicking noise coming from Liesel who is laying in a nearby chair...

She will hopefully grow out of it. Liesel is about 1 1/2 years old and will occasionally pee when she's really excited to see someone. We had a Weimaraner that piddled till she was probably 5-6 years old. What has worked for me is to ignore the pup for for a minute or so until she has settled down a...

Heartgard says its safe for puppies from 6 weeks on. Make sure you have the correct dosage/size for your puppies weight. As Pitbulliest inquired, where do you live? Here in Missouri, especially December through February, its cold enough that there are no mosquitos. I tend to stop giving the heartwor...

Mmmm...Coach leather, that's almost food grade! Coach will fix the purse for a decent price. I had the handle chewed off of a soft sided Coach briefcase by an old dog of ours. I think they charged $45-50, which isn't bad considering the price of Coach products. You're pup will probably be just fine....

It could also be conjunctivitis, an inflamation of the mucous membrane on the inner surface of the eyelid and exposed eyeball surface. We had a Weimaraner that got it all the time. I have no idea why or where she picked it up, but with the medication from the vet it cleared up quickly.
