I had Kailie on a veggie food for exactly one bag. I needed to rid her body of animal proteins so that I could introduce them one at a time to determine what she was allergic to. It never occured to me to feed my mostly carnivorous pet a vegan diet long term. The only dogs I have ever seen that hone...

I like these for a mostly white with a bit of brown dog (Kailie is mostly white with some small brindle patches, so I contemplate this a lot). I would have one of each for her, but hubby made me put on the calendar that I won't buy any more dog collars because apparently a dozen each is more than su...

Non pit bull behavior/health question....?

Yoda is a 4 year old rottweiler/coonhound. He weighs about 80 lbs and has been my fiarly solid pet-typically mentally stable and healthy. Until about 2-2 1/2 months ago, when he fell apart. Here is a link to the beginning of his downward spiral... http://www.pitbullforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=67672&am...

My understanding is that Clomicalm is specifically for sep. anx. My dog is completely unaffected by any of the anti-anxiety drugs, so I'm no help there, sorry. GL!

Re:

If you want to build up drive you have to show the dog that this ball is THE MOST AMAZING thing on this planet. Show the ball to the dog and get very excited, holler, woooohooo whatever it is, just go crazy, throw it around and run after it, pick it up and again go nuts. The dog will pick up on thi...

Fetch Challenged

I have a 1/4 acre fully fenced lot across the street from my house that is pretty much useless for anything but doggy play. So I take the dogs over there to run and play so they don't tear up my lawn. Kailie is..."special". I throw a Kong ball and she runs after it, but lets Yoda actually ...

The suggestions you've gotten so far are all great! In the winter, my girl wears a coat just about 24/7. The first winter I had her, she did wear it 24/7 for a about a month before I finally decided it needed to be washed. She had been on a diet because the vet wanted to see her drop about 5 lbs and...

OMG she's flippin adorable! Good luck with surgery and way to go for giving everyone a second chance!

She looks like she has skin issues too, poor girl. Whities can be so hard with the skin issues. Constant battle around here!
