A few dogs I had the pleasure of meeting yesterday

I was able to meet all of these guys. What wonderful dogs they are! First is my personal foster. She has been with me just over 2 months now. She is an amazing dog, who is so full of life and energy. She would make a GREAT aglity/working dog. She loves to have something to do--and needs an outlet fo...

Re: Good News :)

How old are you? By 14 I was working a paper route and supporting the majority of the care for my animals (Greyhound and about 40+ chinchillas) with very little help from my parents... Are you old enough to get a paperoute and then you can provide for your animals? By 16 I was working at the local g...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

TOTW has been the one food Gavin has done extremely well on long term. Our bag was good, but I had to grab a different brand (I went with Blue Wilderness) as when I went back for another bag of TOTW the store had pulled every last bag on the shelf awaiting the production code lists... I haven't deci...

Re: USA made dog treats and chews

Thanks for creating this list, red! I recently stocked up on USA made treats and was pleased to find the store had a large selection. Ended up going with the wellness treats to try something new. I normally do natures variety or old mother Hubbard. I saw a large range of grass fed/free range pig ear...

Re: Tick prevention

Iilangel, I know you guys farm... If you can stand the noise have you thought of adding a flock of guineas? I am swearing by these fowl for our case. I was pulling ticks left and right last year, and since adding 10 free range birds last fall they have been in the pastures and fields non stop, and I...

Re: Tick prevention

We have lymes disease here popping up like crazy. Gavin actually get the vaccine. He has a lot of allergies so we don't use anything and only have pulled off about two ticks last year. If Lyme is big in your area I would suggest getting the vaccine. We decided to vaccinate the horses this year as we...

Re: Looking for help with Mast Cell Tumor

Welcome to the forums. There are many of us who have delt with mast cell cancer. I am not an expert on it, so I will let the others offer better advice. My personal dog has had three rumors so far and is stage 2. Our vet thinks he has a good prognosis if we keep a fast response. I keep him on a grai...

Re: Good Lord, anything else at this time?

I too would be willing to send something I can't do much as I have my own issues with Gavin... But Val was kind enough to help us with him... And this is the least I could do. I feel so bad for both you Val and zoey. If I didn't have the issues I have with Gavin I would offer her a home. It's just n...

Re: Meatball....yes Meatball SW Michigan

I love this dog so much! Each time I see him re listed I wish we were in the position to add another dog. I hope he finds that perfect home, he deserves it! Not to mention hubby loves both all black and black and whites!
