Re: This is starting to look less like spondylosis

Maybe something like this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canine_degenerative_myelopathy I've been dealing with something similar, Brina's laryngeal paralysis is starting to cause hind-end weakness, that's why I've been researching canine neurological diseases and possible treatments or at least thing...

Re: Heres Chief!!!

Cute pup, but he's way too young to be away from his mother. Pups should leave their litter at 8+ weeks, not sooner.

Re: New puppy, 1/2 pitbull, 1/4 staff, 1/4 rottweiler

I hope both parents for your dog will be getting spayed and neutered so there won't be any more "accidents". Mixing breeds like these can be risky an it certainly is irresponsible.

Re: Aspiration Pneumonia

Ok I don't want to jinx it, but it's been more than 7 weeks since we stopped with the antibiotics from her last aspiration pneumonia. She has her good days and her not so good days when she coughs more than usual, but so far nothing more serious has developed. I hope things will continue to go so we...

Re: anyone with issues with there dogs chewing feet

Just FYI a lot of dogs chew their feet because they are itchy from skin allergies. So while it is good to stop them chewing (they can really beat up their feet), it is also important to see your vet to have his skin evaluated. Yup, allergies or pain from joint issues, that will also cause a dog to ...

Re: New and confused

Oh crap... You're a first time dog owner and you've decided it's a good idea to get TWO pit bull puppies from the same litter??? WHY? That's a recipe for a disaster right there, especially if they're fighting already at the young age of 6 months. Here's a great article on why it's a bad idea to get ...

Re: Does my puppy look part pitbull?

I was planning to have this new puppy as a pet and companion #1. If they end up having puppies that's just a fun bonus. Being a part of a huge overpopulation problem is not a "fun bonus" when owning intact dogs. Please consider spaying and neutering both of your dogs, there's absolutely n...

Re: Does my puppy look part pitbull?

and we want something chihuahua to mate with our girl later. WHY?? You have thousands of chihuahua AND pit bull mixes in shelters all over your country, why on earth would you want to produce more? PLEASE spay and neuter both of them, there are too many unwanted pets euthanised every day, because t...

Re: Aspiration Pneumonia

Thanks, right now I'm still waiting to see if pneumonia will develop. She's coughing again so I think it's only a matter of days. I went to the vet yesterday to buy antibiotics so I will be prepared if it does develop, luckily I found a vet who is willing to give me antibiotics without me bringing B...

Re: Aspiration Pneumonia

Thanks. The surgery went well and it made a huge difference, I'm glad we were able to do it in time. I know the feeling of watching your dog suffocating in front of you and it's the worst thing you can experience. I completely lost it that day and I'm glad I had my mom beside me who kept her cool th...

Re: Female Pit had puppies

None of the pups look blue, all are black brindle or seal colored. Mother looks like your typical backyard bred pit bull, without papers you really can't know if she's pure bred or not. Poor dog, she's a puppy herself and is raising a litter... I really hope you will get her spayed asap and do the s...
