K9 Advantix or Frontline Plus?

Just curious which you all prefer? We give Ophie and Luke Sentinel, but ticks have been really bad around here this year, so we want to give topical treatment to kill ticks. No, they don't have any ticks because I don't walk them where they are bad, but I'd like to walk them in our local wooded area...

Re: Mast Cell Tumors : Lessons Learned

Ella actually HAD a mast cell tumor at one time, but we had it removed.
It came back a stage II, but it never returned.
Two years later (almost to date), was when she got lymphoma.
And this thread just made me incredibly sad.

Re: These damn puppies are going to be the death of me.

Um, just so you all know: We got a new bed in March...or February. We just put the bed up on its frame a couple weeks ago. Ophie and Luke have discovered The World of Underneath the Bed. And it's the funniest thing, EVER. The play hide and go seek. And they sneak attack each other. One will hide und...

Re: These damn puppies are going to be the death of me.

Luke will attempt to chew on the wheels of my office chair. WHILE I AM SITTING IN IT. Whenever I am getting stuff out of my dresser drawers, and I have them open, he'll come up and start trying to chew on the drawer as it's open! Yesterday, I was using zip ties to put my rats cage together, and he k...

These damn puppies are going to be the death of me.

So far, I have had to attempt to dig out a flip-flop strap out of Luke's mouth and just now he was chomping on, I think, all of the continent of Asia that he ripped off his orbee ball. Like, the ENTIRE continent, WHOLE. The flip-flop strap situation happened when my friend came over and we were visi...

Re: How contagious is demodectic mange?

Ophie's mange popped up when she got kennel cough, I believe.

She went through her last mange treatment last week, so hopefully it'll be all gone now.

Re: Too thin??

The spine concerns me. The spine really concerns me, and she's not my dog. I don't know if the lumping on her spine is simply just her spine showing through since she could use some pounds put on, or if those are actual lumps? I do not like seeing spine and hip bones on a dog (I don't see the hip bo...

Re: Kibble help

Hey Rebecca- what sort of poop do you get on the Fromm? We're at a 50 - 50 mix now and I was starting to panic because Veronica (the dog that eats everything with no impact on her bathroom habits) was starting to have poop problems with the addition of the Fromm. Lighter, thinner and like soft serv...

Re: The big bad "C" word :(

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. But cancer isn't an immediate death sentence. And chemo is not that expensive (not assuming it would even be applicable in your case). My cat has been undergoing chemo for the last year and a half (currently on more of a maintenance protocol) after an initial...

Re: The big bad "C" word :(

I am soooo soooo sorry. I just lost Ella last month. We screwed around for two weeks trying to shrink the lump while waiting on lab results (two separate times that came back necrotic tissue) before we finally had the lump removed. I'm sure you know this already, but a reminder: Cancer is evil...

Re: Amount and type of exercise

My pups (4-5 months old) are only getting "play" exercise now with the occasional flirtpole. Because I sprained my ankle, AND it's been WAY TOO HOT to walk them outside right now. I wouldn't worry about walks toooo much. As long as you allow your pup to kind of go at his/her own pace. Once...
