If you truely WANT another dog, its a Win Win situation no matter how you look at it. you get the dog out of harms way, and satisfy your want for another pup... do it

:dunno: how can a vet possibly know nothing about food? i completely understand that they tend to push certain types of foods onto people, but i think that's simply because they are sponsored by that particular brand (at least thats how i saw it anyways at my vet)... but to say that they dont know a...

is that to say if you fed him LESS that he would be starving? this is pretty interesting. Being in college and on a very limited budget, i cant complain that she doesnt need as much food as you're talking about, but im interested to see if she would get chunky if i started feeding her more, or if sh...

Feeding amount...bag says feed ALOT more

Ever since i got Lucy at 9 weeks old i have always fed her by eye, not by the reccomendations on the bag, i just keep an eye on her weight...etc etc. however, this morning i was curious as to what the bag says she ought to be eating daily and was incredibly suprised by how much it was. (i feed her n...

the only things i can suggest is making a routine of going outside. Ever since lucy knew how to "sit" she had to be brought to the door and told to sit before she could go outside and do her business. to this day when i wake up in the morning the first thing we do is go outside. she will g...

ive never heard such a thing...but it's possible. i just cant imagine breaking somethings legs on purpose, but people do sicker things to these dogs, which is why i guess it's possible. also, how would you go about breaking 2 legs in the exact same place? thinking "logically" in a sick per...

just a lil update... i looked at my paper work from the vet when i got home just to refresh my memory and she's actually a few weeks older than i thought when i originally posted. She's 7 months old today, so she would have obviously been lighter at 6 months. seems that she's right within normal siz...

thanks for the responses and compliments, she is a great dog, and very good looking too :)) . i guess this is perfectly normal. like i said, she doesnt look like she would be heavy, but when you go to pick her up it is ridiculous. i weighed her on a digital "people" scale by subtracting my...
