I bought the head collar for Mongo and hate it---I swear he has a whiplash from freaking out when he saw a cat cross the street and a bike that went by. My reasoning for not liking choke chains or prongs? Call me crazy, but I don't like inflicting pain on him if I don't have too! ;-) Just my though...

. Halti's and Gentle Leaders will not save the world, unfortunately. One of the head halter style collars would probably have killed Tess, or at least done some serious damage, if she'd been wearing it when she saw the turkey, flipped out, and flung herself as hard as she could to the end of her le...

I have tried various methods to control Snoopy. Heh, I've been told recently I've taught Snoopy to heel TOO well. Ha. When I first taught him the whole walking with a leash thing, he pulled like he didnt know any better. Halti's didnt work. The prong collar kept him from pulling, but he really reall...

To my knowledge, Royal Canin does not make a wet food. At least not that I have seen in my countless weekends at PetsMarts around here. This recall happened last summer but wasnt widely publicized until news of the Menu Foods recall. Royal Canin makes wet veterinary diets. They had a recall in Marc...

So...is it their dry or wet? Aren't all the recalled food wet? This is separate from the Menu Foods recall, to my understanding. This is something released from Royal Canin as a company, not a supplier/manufacturer like Menu Foods. There is also a time frame difference. This is a class action lawsu...

I've met a few people who really and truely had no idea their dog food was crap. Like RC said: people trust dog food companies to do something good for their pet. I've managed to get a few people to switch to BLUE in the middle of this recall after educating them on what's really in dog food. Some p...

Dry food is not affected by contaminated ingredients at this time and therefore not affected by the recall.

I feel bad for anyone who had issues related to the food. Though it did make it an easy sales day for me. People looking for alternatives to Iams, etc. So I sold them cans of BLUE. hahah Though I was rather amused how much the Nutro rep didnt know about the recall. I'm glad I'm part of this board, o...

*squee* SO CUTE! and such pretty kitties! As far as the food goes, most def read through the health forum, but out of the two, i would prefer the NV's lamb/rice. It's a better food, IMO. The key to understanding dog foods, is different dogs do well on different things. DHA can be helpful in a growin...

And the baby, too. Would the benedryl help out with anything? Perhaps the bald spot? I dont want to give it to him if doesnt do anything majorly (or even semi-major) beneficial. I wouldnt care about giving him something every day. I had to do Panalog, steroid and amoxi 2x a day with a dog that's afr...

I fed BLUE cuz it was free  Product rep. If Snoopy had seemingly tolerated it better i might have been more inclined to feed it and save me money, but I much prefer the way he looks on Merrick than anything else I have tried...including canidae before the merrick. It's gonna make me seem like ...
