Hello Dingo! I'm not neutering Guage because my brother (He's not the one who just got Sunny.) wants to breed Guage atleast once. I don't want him to but I have no say in it.. Guage belonged to my brother first before I got him.. He is only breeding once then I'm neutering him!. Hopefully my brothe...

The only time I ever let Dez offleash is at my parents 80 acre mountain retreat. Her recall is so good that this past weekend she stopped dead in her tracks when I called her back to me. What was she doing whe I called? Chasing a chipmunk. THAT is good recall. Until your dog has that, don't even thi...

Fix BOTH your dogs BEFORE the baby comes.

Unaltered dogs are OVERWHELMINGLY more likely to be a problem for SO many reasons. Just look at the stats on dog bites and unaltered dogs.

http://vetmedicine.about.com/od/nutritioninformation/f/FAQ_corncob.htm Many dogs love to chew on corn cobs -- most love the taste of the salt, butter, and bits of corn, plus they are just fun to chew. However... corn cobs can cause intestinal obstruction, a very serious (and potentially fatal) medic...

Take her to the vet!!! Dez did the same thing a year ago, and we had to have her x-rayed to make sure that none of the pieces was causing a blockage and a MAJOR problem which could have killed her. They do NOT digest and can cause problems if there is a big enough piece in there. Please do not wait ...

Full grown weight guesses for a 9 month old?

My former foster pup is now 42 pounds. She was 38 pounds at her adoption (6 weeks ago). She's 9 months old now. Very well conditioned physically. Her new owners and I were just discussing how big she might get. Any ideas based on her being 42 pounds now (at 9 months) and gaining about 4 pounds in th...

Please let me know how it goes. I'm so glad you're getting this girl out!

I wish I could help, but I've got a female in my house that would not do well with a DA female.

Well, I'm pleased to announce that today Macy was finally spayed (after a long wait and back and forth with the SPCA). Her forever parents met me at the vet at 4pm to pick her up. Their car was loaded with blankets and toys "to make her comfortable on the way home". They took her home so s...

Oh my. If I was in a position to take on a 2nd dog full time right now (and didn't already have a female), I'd drive down to Atlanta this weekend just to pick her up.

She's so unbelievably beautiful. :inlove:

Well, I have awesome news to report! Keep your fingers crossed for "Macy". She is meeting with her probably forever parents this Sunday. I am taking her for her pre-spay checkup on Thursday and her spay will be scheduled after that, so her family won't be getting her till after then, but t...
