Time!! Just don't force the dog to play with or on. Every dog is different and thier interest will thus be different and may change. My female didn't like the springpole a whole lot, but one day she jumped on and tore the sack I had on it in half.

I think the dog is just very dependant on you and sees you leaving as everything good in his life is gone from hime, eventhou it is just temporary. My new foster strated that and it was what I wanted, which allows me to train him easier. Untill his barking and whinning started bother my girlfriend w...

I know you can print off the rule book from the AKC site and I belive you might be able to get the signs. The new trainer I'm going to has all the signs and if you want I could relay the info on how or where to get them.

Getting a dog to get in the water to swim is like getting a dog to run on a treadmill. It requires slow introduction with positive rewards and experiences to incourage water time in the water. Check out http://www.triplecrowndogs.com who has a self help article on getting a dog to swim. Some dogs ne...

I'm going to start training for RAlly O with a new trainer here in a few weeks. I went to one an event in Houston which had rally ) levels and Utility Dog trials. I have to say both events looked like fun. The great thing was there where alot of dogs inside where the event was taking place and you h...

Dogs are carnivores so feeding meat is a natural choice. Canines have a high stomache pH which is enough to dissolve bone as well as killing alot of bacteria. Thier digestive track is capable of handling alot of things and built for meat processing. Cooking will also denature most proteins and make ...

I absolutly agree with the tithering of the pup to you or in your sight. I used the same method. Try taking the pup out once every hour while you're home. This should help alot as well, but accidents will happen it's a given. Just don't rub the pup's face in it or spank them!! This doesn't help at a...

So the whole idea is to associate the crate with good things (i.e treats, food, bones...). I feed my dogs in thier kennel all the time, but make sure the food is in the kennel before showing the dog where the food is. I made it a game with my female and know I just say "Kennel" and she run...

I had my Daisy ready for her CGC by 6months, but I waited and made sure she was more than ready by the time she took it.

Getting your bully thier CGC is something every owner should do. There's nothing better than having a welll behaved bully in public for everyone to see!
