Welcome Jeff, I think you could learn a lot here if you can keep your mind open. We can discuss it all in the general forum just as soon as you get approved.

This has been reported incorrectly! I've already spoken to PBACC and contacted the Sun Sentinel. There is not an extra fee for a tag for a pit bull. Only for a dangerous dog, which is a dog that has been in violation. It has nothing to do with breed. I appreciate the high fees for intact pets, but ...

10x the risk of samonella than rawhide ( or raw for that matter) and ugh! NEVER would I give them to either of my dogs! Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but you feed raw, yet are afraid to give your dog a dehydrated pig ear for fear of salmonella? Isn't that kind of like doing heroin...

for one, we are planning on breeding Coco way later on in life, so we cannot spay her. ANOTHER thing, this WAS NOT intentional!!!!!!!!!! :po: To whoever said we did this on purpose!!! She is only 10 months old!!!! She is WAY too young to have a litter! We love Coco more than anything in the world.....

Occasional biscuits are fine, it's not like you feed your dog them 20 a day. It won't hurt. Next time maybe get the Costco ones if you have one nearby. They have more chicken in them  I think you love Costco just as much as I do! Just get yourself the Lamb and Rice and Chicken and Rice va...

If I had a dollar for how many of these threads come through here..... :frown: Please people, for the love of everything scared, spay and neuter your dogs unless you have a super awesome reason to do otherwise! To OP, just wondering why you felt it was necessary to mention the fact that the male a w...

Low cost clinics are hugely subsidized. SOMEONE pays for it, it's just not you, the owner. Vets will often donate their time, and somehow funds are raised to pay for the other things, like the anesthesia etc. I was just going to say this. The costs were there, but subsidized. I had two pit/pit mixe...

I would recommend something with Pyrethrins, such as Top Spot or Advantix and make sure you apply it correctly, use the correct dosage, and apply EVERY MONTH. . I'm suprised you've ever found pyrethrins to be even remotely effective on fleas. I've applied it to literally thousands of animals, and n...

Still do not understand the insane prices though, Friends of Animals allows you to purchase a neuter cert online for $64.00 and I believe there is at least 1 participating vet in most areas. When you pay $300 for a neuter, do they at least have the courtesy to let you lube up first before they bend ...

Oh my...I'm glad I live in MO...those prices seem much too high! Hell yeah, those are some insane prices. I think the most I ever paid for a spay was $80 and that included the pre-op bloodwork through a low cost program. I guess MO compared to the rest of the US is super cheap. The thought of payin...

Yay for neuter!! Booo for $190! wtf?? What all are they charging you for? There are programs in St. Louis that will do it for $10. I bet if you look around, you can find some reduced cost neuter programs in your area. Unless you are okay with paying $190. Here is the low cost Spay/Neuter thread. Re...
