Thoughts on cosequin; does anyone use cosequin for their dog, do you think it works?

Re: Please tell me I'm being stupid and paranoid

I do not think you are being paranoid at all. It be a reaction to the sub cutaneous stitches, although I would it expect it to look more inflamed if that were the case. Would not hurt to have it checked out.

Re: Names I'd like to never hear again*

Snowball - we have like 50 Snowballs at my work! My god! Could you not think of a better name for your small white dog? My dirty mind can't help but gag when I hear that name.... My mom knew someone with a white cat named snowball; then they neutered him and re-christened him "no-balls."

Re: Anyone near Logan, New Mexico that could suggest a shelt

The shelters are not unfriendly to pits; they just have a lot of them. Also the more rural shelters do not have the funds to keep animals for any length of time and do have to euthanize. As far as I know, the local humane societies are not no kill and do not always accept animals. The no kill shelte...

Re: Blood worms?

Those are blood worms, they are the larvae of chironomid midge. The other thing you pictured is a mosquito larvae. The blood worms will not harm your dogs. I did some research a while back the first time that they showed up, because I had no idea what they were. I get them in the dogs pool in the su...

Re: feeding

Once per day. If they are fed twice per day, they start to skip one meal or eat a very small amount for one meal.

Peanut butter or yogurt; freezing the filling in the kong makes it last longer.

Re: It's Lymphoma Large Cell Type.

Type all you need to. Right now, your emotions are raw; the only thing I have found that lessens the pain is time. The grieving process takes time. Eventually, you will remember Ella and smile, not cry. I know that right now, that seems like it will never happen. Do not doubt that you did right by E...

I am so sorry that you had to make this decision about Ella; words cannot express. Saying goodbye hard and painful; you and your family will be in my prayers. All I can say is that I know your pain.

Run free Ella.

Thanks for those statistics and articles. It confirms what I was thinking; i.e. all dogs could shed bacteria.

Re: Pics of raw fed dog teeth

Raw really does wonders for teeth. I periodically feed my ferrets and dogs raw to keep their teeth in good condition. Now I have to convince the cat that raw is yummy.

No raw fed dogs for Delta Society

Link:http://www.deltasociety.org/Page.aspx?pid=638 I understand the reasoning that a raw fed dog could lead to an infection with an immune compromised individual, but don't kibble fed dogs also have the possibility of shedding pathogenic bacteria?
