Thanks guys, I picked up some Ivermectin today at a local feed store (Trina, aka chillbully, who works at Chilliwack animal Control directed me to it) for a good price. I spent time with all three girls today, and they're all looking good! Sam (Arlo's owner) just picked the three girls up from the v...

As you know from Baileybones, little Lovely sadly didn't make it, and was let go today. However, the vet is much more confident that the other girls are healthy enough for treatment and will recover. While we've lost Lovely, we've gained her sister - another pup from this litter was caught this morn...

Good news! I just got off the phone with the vet, and Lovely made it through the night, and is slightly improved. At 10pm, she ate a full bowl of food. She stood up several times throughout the night, and also peed (all over her bed, but hey, at least we know some things are working!). She's still l...

thanks Bustersmama. No news yet, the vet isn't open (it's 7 am). I've been up since six, wondering if this girl made it through the night. The vet gave me the option of him calling to update when he checked in on her, and I said no, to call me in the morning, and now I'm wishing I'd said yes! I so h...

Oh no! Isnt it better to euth at this point? She looks like she is in horrible pain! Poor sweetheart..... Ellena, that's a tough question, which I did put to the vet. I was very concerned that I only wanted to try to save this dog if he felt it was humane and ethical. I was not wanting to simply pr...

Help/Donations needed for mange dogs/pups

HugABull is taking in three Pit Bulls with severe demodex from a local shelter, after having them brought to our attention by another (non bullie) rescue. One of the pups (there are two puppies who I'll guess are about 6 months old, and a young adult) is critically ill, and I took her straight to th...

There's a good chance "Special K", who posts here and owns Loki (and who's part of HugABull's steering committee) is adopting Dakota. I'll know by Monday! I sure hope that's the case, as Special K is a great owner (she adopted Loki from us, and he has since become quite the little ambassad...

WOW!! I love her!! How far is Vancouver from VT?? I'd love to know her story too. Also I'm going to talk to my boyfriend about getting another dog. Q is only 6 months and quite a handful. But he would love to have a sister. Also I have always wanted 2 dogs. I just love the dynamic. I'm not sure how...

I so love her little hottie body tank top she's sporting! Way cute dog :inlove: I know! Isn't that cute? The pic doesn't show it, but it says "Angel" in rinestones on the back. I just saw it and had to get it for her - I love the way it shows off her little muscles. Dakota's got a serious...

Dakota is da bomb!

Holy cuteness, I freaking love this dog!!! If I didn't already have three... :inlove: Dakota's awesome, everything a bully should be. She's built like a little brick you-know-what-house, teeny tiny (smaller than my Sugar), bunny soft, and just oozes confidence and love. She's very pushy and sure of ...

I'm just curious... for your pup that had demodex. Was she treated with anything else, or do you think the raw diet alone cured the demodex. Also, at what age did she recover?? Switching to raw seems to be a common theme among people with tough-to-beat demodex, so I'm sortof keeping a running tally...

Rather than get into the raw vs. kibble debate, I'm just going to answer the original question, which was, I believe, why don't you feed raw? I did. I fed raw for over 2 years - Gage was raw fed from 8 weeks old until around 2 1/2. Why did I start my dogs on raw? Gage was allergic to ALL grains as a...
