Thanks.

No, she is purebred.

I know this is a touchy subject for some people, and I am not trying to be a know it all or saying this to offend you, but I just thought I'd let you know she doesn't look like a purebred APBT at all to me. The shape of her head, ears, fur length and texture tells me otherwise.
Either way, your girl is adorable and nobody will think 'less' of her because of it. I look forward to seeing how she matures.

Not saying this is the perfect example of an APBT puppy, but it's the general idea:

Hate to say it... but you're nuts. That puppy does look pure APBT. Puppies have those fuzzy coats. They shed out. Her head looks NOTHING like a Boxers.

I'm not real familiar with you as a poster... what is your experience with the APBT?

Maybe I am nuts, but I honestly do not see her being a purebred. I don't mean that she appears to be a purebred boxer, nor another breed altogether without a trace of APBT in her - I just don't think that's all she is.

IMHO, her forehead looks too high and rounded, and she has a curved dip for a stop and a fairly short muzzle.

http://www.apbtconformation.com/NEECF.htm

I have only been a member since mid-August this year. My experience is simply tons of research on APBT's (and the identification of), including conformation, over the last 2 years. Perhaps I need to further it, but I was just stating my opinion. I have an American Pit Bull Terrier, she is 7 months old - I don't know if she counts as experience. lol

My APBT pup has short glossy fur, and has since she was born.

http://www.apbtconformation.com/headstudy2.htm

http://www.APBTconformation.com / http://www.apbt.info/tiki-index.php is one of my sources, but it is not all I base my opinion off of.

"Short-coated-

The coat is glossy and smooth, close, and moderately stiff to the touch.
Faults: Curly, wavy, or sparse coat.
Disqualification: Long coat

I have seen "APBTs" that have hair almost 1 inch long that sheds all year long (yuck no offense to long haired breed but my wife is a groomer and we prefer wash n wear LOL). Anyway, long hair on the APBT is a Disqualification!!!. The place where hair tends to be longest is in the hackles or be blades. As a general rule 0.5 inches or less is a good short coat from hair measured at the shoulders, beyond a half inch in length and in my opinion you are verging on medium coat. "

These are Lua's littermates around 5 wks:

Do you have pics of before (puppy) and after (adult) APBT's who looked like that as a 7-9 week old pup? I'd be interested in seeing them so that if I am wrong, I don't make the mistake again.

I'm sorry to hijack the thread!
You can PM me if you'd like, KG. I am definitely interested in your (and anyone elses') opinion.
