Hello from CT

Postby silverfox302 » Fri Nov 28, 2008 8:28 pm

Hey everyone! My name is Rick, and Im from northwest CT. My fiancee and I just adopted our dog, Gus, from a shelter in october. He is about 2 years old according to the shelter. The also say he is a Pit Bull mix, but he looks like a lot of other apbt's to me. :dunno: So far he has been an amazing dog, very smart and energetic; and incredibly loyal after only 2 months! I cant wait to learn more about this awesome breed!

He looks great, actually, a lot like my Emily (she's a boxer mix), but a lot more pittish.

I go to Torrington every weekend! The new Target is pretty awesome. lol My mother also works there (teacher at East School).

You got Gus from the Little Guild?? That's great!! I love going to the Little Guild... as soon as I have more time, I'm going to sign up to volunteer there. They're definitely one of the best rescues around here. They have a very nice building -- great setups for the dogs and cats.

Beautiful dog! I've got two brindles of my own and even after all these years, I'm still amazed at the varieties in brindle coloring.
Welcome to the forum. Thank you so much for adopting!

I agree, I was pretty impressed with the setup and how friendly everyone was there. I would love to volunteer also, but I know last time I checked they were looking for cat area help; and as much as I like all animals, Im way too allergic to cats to try that out!!

Gus is beautiful. he looks almost twin of my girl Jade. She is half staf half abpt. I got her when she was 6 months old and she is now 1 year 3 months. Loyal as can be!!!

you arent kidding, they sure look a lot alike! We dont really know his whole story, but what the shelter did know is that Gus was brought up from a high kill shelter somewhere in the Virginia area.
