My intro

Postby Deidre M » Sun Jan 11, 2009 4:10 pm

I'm a Lay Level 1 SATS certified trainer. I studied with Kayce Cover starting in 2002.
Obviously I am a relatively new trainer compared to many on the various forums.
I'm interested in joining in on intelligent discussions related to training attitudes and techniques for dogs in all kinds of working environments. I'm certainly no less interested in people's general attitudes on the integrity of the human canine bond.
I especially would like to be of support to my friends already here on Pit Bull forum. Right off, I can think of three of them who are of no ordinary talent and whose experience and advice I consider invaluable.
Any dogs of your own?
I lost my guide dog Mare to what was most likely hemangiosarcoma Oct 31 this year. I should be partnered with another guide within 3 months. Meantime I have the frequent company of Duke, a little part Beagle Walker and Ronin, an American Bull dog who used to be Mare's bro, so to speak. They munched mint and grass together, ran side by side checking things out, generally were like kin to one another. ....Deidre
