Welcome to the forum, its always exciting to learn of new people who have the breeds reputation in mind. when your dogs going crazy and wont stop jumping/biting, giving it a firm 'no' and then just walking away is the right thing to do. i still have problems getting Wyatt to come when we're outside, so i'll stay away from giving any suggestions as far as the come is concerned. lol

Brooks is a handsome little pup, theres no doubt in my mind he's thrilled to be with a new loving family. There are tons of really experienced people on the forum and you will no doubt find answers to your questions.

hi, cute boy!

I didn't have a pup rather adopted an adolescent but I found a good rule was don't use a command if you can't/don't enforce it so in teaching come I would make sure I had a leash on so I could pull towards me...if that makes sense.

welcome!

Hi dana,

IF you didnt name him Brooks, and that was the name he was given at the shelter... This is who he is named after:

LOL this is Brooks (the human) and Chelsea (dog) at one of our adoption events!

Hes one of the nicest guys ever, so if your pup turns out anything like his namesake, you'll be in good shape  lol

Welcome to PBF. Adorable pup, and he sounds typical puppy.
