Greetings!
I just joined as part of our research and learning as new Pit Bull owners. We saved an 8 week old female brindle puppy from a very bad backyard breeder last weekend. Both parents were there and frendly. Dad was an American, mom was an English. Dad was taller with more hair, mom was short and stocky.
We had a Chow Chow for 11 years until 2 years ago when he had to be put down to health issues. So we're familiar with all the bias and hate towards certain dog breeds. Our other household animals are an adult cat and a 5 year old famale miniature pincher.
We have 3 kids, ages 10, 18, and 19.
Lucy will be fixed, and enrolled into classes at the local Petsmart as soon as all vaccinations are done.
Looking forward to participating and learning on here!

Welcome! The pup is cute! Unfortunately, if you paid money for her, you didn't rescue her, but rather you allowed the BYB to keep doing what he's doing.

But let's deal with the here and now! Your pup is adorable. Have you thought about joining a class with her?

Sorry, re-read. Good for you for looking into classes. :) Don't wait until she is done her vaccines. They don't get their last set until 4 months and you'll miss out on a very crucial socialization period.

Very cute! I'm sure you will fall in love with the breed, as most people do! :)
