Hi!
My name is Maggie. I just got my baby on Sunday at the CACC (a shelter in NYC). His name is Keegan and he is an 8 month old Pit Bull mix.
He is very sweet and I am loving him. I know I am going to need a lot of advise. I have never had such a big and strong dog before but he is very well behaved and so far things have been great!
So far he seems to be potty trained and is well behaved in the apartment when I am at work. He is very loving and seems to get along with people great. I am only worried about him with other dogs (small dogs in particular). He seems to think they are toys.
If anyone has any first timer advise feel free to share.

welcome, i'm new myself,,, on the pics i had a hard time posting them myself, in the gallery there's a great instruction post it's like the third one down tells ya all ya need to know, and as far as the advice on your dog, pit's are not any different from any other good size breed just give him lot's of love and keep him around people and other dog's (SUPERVISED) I personally never let my dog off the leash with other animals around because if anything was to happen even if my dog was attacked because he's a pitbull he would be sure to get the blame, so just play it safe
