Sure...
I'm married, from central Ohio, work at home most of the time, no kids, have 2 cats and Peanut.
My husband and I first saw Peanut wandering around our neighborhood December '02. I tried to figure out who she belonged to, but I saw her in a different yard or on a different porch every time. When she came up on our porch it became evident she was not being cared for at all by anyone. She was skinny, cold and missing patches of fur. I took her in and within that week she came down with Parvo which resulted in a 4 day vet stay on an IV. Even when she was too weak to lift her head she'd wag her tail when she saw a human.
Now she's happy, healthy and maybe a bit spoiled. She trusts all humans and absolutely ADORES kids. She plays well with all of her "canine cousins" including a few Chihuahuas, a JRT, a fat beagle, a neurotic Brittany, and her very favorite - her cousin Sammy an AmStaff. She is respectful of cats, even strays who enter our yard. Squirrels, groundhogs, chipmunks and moles need to watch out though. I could go on and on about Peanut! but I'll stop now.
