A gorgeious pit/boxer mix was dumped behind my house recently and I have adopted it. She is a brindle white, looks like a boxer with a pit face, about nines to a year or so old.
I am having her spayed next week and microchipped. So far she has shown no agression at all either toward my cats, kids or people and gets along well with my other dog, an older boxerpit/shepard mix.
Since I dont know her blood lines and likley its a BYB of some sort, I am a bit concerned. I am doing obedience training with her. She is submissive and seems to want to please. So far she is showing the boxer temperement.
I am here to find out more about how to handle her and what to watch out for and advice. I kept her as she is such a sweet dog and the local shelter here does not adopt out pits, they are immediatley euthainized. She is way to sweet for that.
Any advice on what to watch for and handling would be apprieciated. My other dog, the pit/shepard mix is generally very good but has been known to jump a certain group of kids that I think tease her. Luckly shes not all that big.
