New members! Save yourself (and us) some hassle!

Postby bahamutt99 » Mon Apr 02, 2007 5:03 pm

And please read this.

1. This section is for introductions only. If you already have access to the rest of the forum, do not come back here and post new threads. The only reason to come back is if you want to welcome new members. Warnings will start going out if this becomes a problem.

2. We need more than one line to grant you access. Saying "Hi yall, wassup" is not an intro. We don't need your life story, but please tell us a bit about who you are, a bit about your dogs, maybe your involvement with the breed. And if you have them, share a pic or two. The welcome wagon loves pics. :)

3. Do not start more than one thread. This just gets on the mod squad's nerves. The only time it is acceptable to start a new thread is if for some reason your original one gets locked without you gaining access.

4. You will know you have access when this happens: A moderator (you can recognize us from the red regulator under our names) comes in and posts this icon

:modwelcomeonly1:

...and then locks your thread.

5. You will gain PM access when you are approved.

6. Don't ask when you'll be granted access. Its going to be whenever we're able to get to you. Please be patient, and bump up your old thread if necessary. (For the unfamiliar, you bump a thread by posting a reply in it, which moves the thread back up to the top of the forum.)

7. And don't post your intro in someone else's thread. Start your own. You wont get seen otherwise.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation. If you adhere to these guidelines, it will make things go more smoothly. Pretty please with cookies on top, and thank you.

Not going to sticky this one. There's already a sticky like this one, and people don't read them.

I think once they have access itshould be noted that if they have questions about food they should do a search before making a post on it.
