Adrienne here, showin off my babies!

Postby Adrienne » Fri Apr 06, 2007 3:31 am

Hello yall, I've been trying to find a good pit forum for over two years! Hopefully I found one. The last 2 sites I registered and posted on treated me like a person who is even slower than I as I wasnt a world class breeder, and had bred my two kids. (Chavez: male, approx 81 lbs, just turned 3, has papers, but I don't have them as I took him in when his 2nd owner didn't want him. 2nd, my female, Roxanne (roxy), is a registered Terrier, razor's edge bloodline, about to turn 2 in June, pretty small, bout oh, maybe 45-50 lbs? She's had 2 litters of beautiful pups with Chavez, but I got her fixed as I didn't buy her fpr a puppy mill, but for a companion for Chavez. In her two litters she's had 18 pups! (8 the first time, 10 the second)-we lost 3 from the first litter but all ten from the 2nd are still alive, which if you ask me is great! (although I did bottle feed about half of them to make sure they were ok) My boy is huge for a pit, actually, very very tall. I'm 5'4" and he comes up past my waist! I would love any suggestions/ideas as to what you think his bloodline/family is. He is absolutely beautiful. And he's the onlt pit Ive ever seen w/two diff colored eyes(Ill enclose a pic to show yall) I've heard we can get a blood test but I wonder if it'd be worth the $$ now that Im not breeding and how accurate it would be. Well I have lotta more questions but first I'll show ya my babies! ( I call them both tit-bulls, since they're so spoiled...they think they're human...lol!)

Welcome to PBF.

Just a word to warn you(and hopefully not scare you off!) this is a rescue based forum, so you might get a few negative words on your breeding. But, I am very glad to hear that you spayed your female. This breed is going through a crisis right now, and we do not need anymore puppies out there.

Other than that little bit, both of your dogs are beautiful! I can't wait to see more of them!

I can understand that. My 1st pit I ever had was a stray and my boyfriend and I nursed him back to health and that was the best dang dog I've ever ever had. If I could I'd adopt any stray I saw. I am a complete sap about dogs. I understand about the breeding thing, but I want it to be known that I know each and every person that has one of the pups, and I made sure that they would be put in a good, caring home where they'd get lots of attention, and not be bred, like as you said, the world has enough strays. Just simply family pets.

Welcome. Your dogs are very beautiful. It's unfortunate that you bred two litters, but hopefully you've realized the dire straits that this breed is in and won't be adding any more pups to the world.

Welcome! Thank you for spaying.

(Just a heads up, litter pics are not allowed. Just wanted to let you know in case they disappear and you wonder what happened.)
