Postby ILoveMyPitBulls » Sat Feb 02, 2008 5:40 pm

Hello! My name is Leslie, I live in Jacksonville, Florida. I came across this site, by accident! :)) I currently have 1 APBT/Mix named Austin, 1 Sheba Inu named Andy, and I am picking up another full blood APBT from Conquest Kennels in about 3 weeks! Her name will be Reilly (It means Courageous and Valiant!)
I have grown up with Pit Bulls since I was in diapers, I am now 24 years old.
I adopted my very own Pit Bull, Austin, when I was 20, by accident. He was a rescue (approx 1 1/2 years old) that was in need of serious love and attention. He is my little buddy! Andy is my other adopted 'son.' He came with my relationship to my boyfriend of 3 years now!
I am interested in getting my 2 APBT's certified as Therapy dogs. I know that is a long process, but after careful thought, and a little more obedience training for Austin, then I think it will be a success!!!!

Below, are a couple of pictures of my babies, even the one I have yet to pick up!

My Dog that I grew up with, we had to put her down due to a cancer that had spread too far to fix, without more stress than she was already under. She had a WONDERFUL life, but a rocky start and rocky finish. She was diagnosed with Parvo virus at 6 mos of age, but came through it like a champ. She passed away at 13 1/2 years old!!

Rest in Peace, baby girl. :frown:

Yes, it definitely was. She was pretty much the Queen of the house!!! LOL
It was sad to see her go, but she was in a lot of pain due to the cancer, so it was the best thing for her.
We had her cremated and her urn sits on the mantle with her pictures and everything. :)
