Found Diesel while driving my diesel Jeep CRD

Postby Diesel Dawg » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:11 pm

Found Diesel. Someone threw him out by the pound near the zoo and I got lucky. 6 weeks old/less than 5 pounds/round and tape worms. Now he is 5 1/2 months old and right at 50 pounds/19" at the withers. Don't know his parentage but he looks all APBT. Here is a little slide show:

OMG! He is so adorable! You are VERY lucky :)

Though we love to hear about dogs, occasionally we like to hear a lil bit about their owners ::sarcasm:: Tell us more about "the dog's slave".

Huge animal lover...always have been. Yes, even cats...I feed and fix them near my office. I have fixed over 50 in the past 14 years at my office and have adopted out ~36 cats. That is how I found Diesel...while feeding some cats by the San Antonio Zoo...feed them, get them friendly, then fix them one at a time. I have never "purchased" a pet...they always find me. The last one was a party Poodle (two colors...all the poodles got together and had a party). She lived until she was 21 years old...great little girl that I had to euthanize after she went blind and deaf...no quality of life left. That was just over tow years ago until I found little Diesel.

Myself, very active. I run my own Moving company in Texas for the last 20 years. I used to road race (sprints, 6-12-24 hour enduros) for Mazda. I also raced bikes(cycling) and then triathlons for a couple more years. I love to go 4 Wheelin', Camping, Tubing, Ect. Right now Diesel is my main focus...I could have named him "Ambien" because I have never slept so soundly as I have the past 4 months.

Don't know how people can dump any animal like that...but they dump kids too, so who is to say? Here is San Antonio, people can take thier unwanted newborns to any firestation and drop them off NO QUESTIONS ASKED! It is too bad it has to come to this but it is better than finding them in a dumpster somewhere. I found Diesel at night and thought he was a brown and white boxer until I got him home. I went back three times a day for the next week or so to make sure they didn't dump more of his litter. I am actually feeding another pup at the same location until I can get him/her friendly and find him/her a possible home...cute sheppard/collie looking pup.

It's great how much you've done to help animals.
