Welcome!
I have no clue about your doggys ears. But could you please tell us more about yourself so we can grant you access? Then you can go to the health section and ask your question.

Welcome, I'm sorry you're having these problems. We'd love to see some pictures of your boy! Maybe you could try a dermatologist, if you haven't already that is.

Wow! Great pictures! Petey's beautiful! :inlove: (Looks like your cat is going to have duckling for lunch, though! lol )
Welcome to the site. Sometimes it takes a couple of days to get access - the mods have full-time jobs. As soon as you get it, you can look in the health section for answers and post your questions there, too.

Well it isn't breed specific, if there's no infection then something else is really wrong.
Keep trying to find another vet, I guess :dunno: I had a Springer, years ago, and you want to talk about chronic ear infections...!!? She had them, but they were treatable.
Welcome to PBF!

Welcome to you and Petey! He's very handsome! :)

I was Googling around and the only things I found are maybe a food allergy or that there is hair growing down inside his ears that a groomer could remove. I hope you find a solution for poor Petey soon!

Welcome to the forum. Your dog is so cute!

My guess would be food allergies. I had a dog that suffered from chronic ear infections and we switched her food and they went away.

She got the reddish - brown dirt looking stuff in them (she would dig at them constantly) and we would clean and clean and clean them but they never got better even with medication.

Does he lick his feet or butt a lot too?

Hi welcome to the forum!!

Petey is a very handsome boy :)

As for his ears... I know this is going to sound dumb, but have you taken him to a vet? Sometimes infections and such can be hard to diagnosis on a dog. A Yeast infection usually has a smell associated with it, and mites has some nasty wax build up dark red in color, but a plain old infection can be hard. Has he been checked for fleas? They may be biting his ears causing iching... If you have been to a vet, and he doesn't have hair in the ears that could be bothering him, maybe just try a good old fashioned flea and tick bath. I don't know what else to suggest? sorry!

Just a thought!

I am new to this but, Have you tried checking his hearing? If he is hard of hearing in one ear it might make him feal as if something is in there that he tries to Shake out.

Welcome and good luck!
