Custom Leather martingales

Postby pacopoe » Fri Jun 03, 2011 11:54 am

Just a quick announcement to let you know that we are now making martingale collars with custom made Herm Sprenger chain. The D rings and chain are heavier than most martingales you can get on the market, that's why we worked with them and designed for 6 months to get it right.

Any of our designs can be turned into a martingale, and we are running a special, free martingale upgrade through the end of today (though we could be persuaded to have it last a few more days for PBFers since I forgot to post it here sooner lol )

Our martingales are sized to fit over the head, not slip off when tightened, but not tighten enough to serve as correction.

Here is a link to the product page: http://pacocollars.com/products/make-me-a-martingale/

Here's a close-up of the martingale chain (yes, available in BRASS!)

:wow I love it!!!

I was able to snag one from CollarMania before she stopped doing leather. (it's also a leather chain martingale and I LOVE it!!) Bruce looks great with it on too. His neck is so small though! (13.75"!) But I love, love, love that design! My bf would kill me if I got another flower design for our boy dog. He actually hid the last collar I bought Bruce... the leather was a light tan and was called "western floral..." Michael said it was wayyyy too feminine for his boy dog. ;)

I'm in the market. Can you tell me about your carving designs? I've browsed your website - do you have other examples? I'm really digging this floral design.

We can do just about anything, really. For instance, the collar above is actually one I free-handed based on classic western floral design, but it's just as easy to exactly replicate an image. The tooling works a lot like tattooing in that you spend a lot of time on the composition and once that's down, it's just a matter of translating it into the medium.

There are a ton of examples of western floral design as that's the classic style used on saddles, belts, holsters, etc. If you see something you like, then you can send us an example, or you can describe the look you're going for, give me free reign ( :headbang: ), and I will create something awesome. Email info@pacocollars.com to discuss specifics

OK, you're killing me here. The only kind of collar Doc can wear these days is a martingale, since the buckles on flat collars rub his neck raw. We have a great leather chain one we got from Collarmania a while back, but he's aged a bit since then, and his neck is thinner than it used to be ... but Lisa isn't doing leather anymore, so I figured we'd just make do. But now YOU have these. And they are lovely. And I want. And hand-tooled, to boot ... wow.
