I love Dakota's setup. Can you tell me if the backup attachment is lightweight? I am looking for a backup attachment that does not weigh the collar and leash down.

The backup attachment itself isn't heavy, it's pretty light. The whole leash weighs about 0.8lbs

Lol @ the smiley. point 8 pounds. So just under 1 pound.

@Celeste: Sweet! Thanks for posting pix of the safety. I like it. I have a couple of Paco Safety Collars on the way for the more serious offenders but I'm definitely going to order some of the safeties you got to attach to most of our leashes. Nice. Love the blue long line you got.

How do the safety collars work?

Dakota's lure sports collar is made so that if the D ring breaks off, it will still free float within the collar. Something like that?

I use a nice piece of braided rope about 3/4" thick and about 30ft with a nice threaded clamp to lock onto collar..

Sorry if i missed this on my tablet, who can i geta 50 foot biothane line from? My husband was amazed last week when luigifinally broke the cotton one on a hike, chasing geese
