Muzzles?

Postby ChevellesMomma » Sun Jul 15, 2012 3:45 pm

I need a muzzle for my Rhodesian Ridgeback boy.

I want him to still be able to open his mouth and pant and drink water if possible. It also needs to be pretty sturdy and difficult for him to just pull off.

Please let me know of any experiences you have with the brand you recommend, thanks!

My dog has a baskerville ultra muzzle. It works great and I love it. You can buy them at petco.

Hello Chevellesmomma-

You are probably looking for a wire basket type muzzle or like kelli has suggested. a ultramuzzle.

Leerburg has a great selection of muzzles and a video on sizing your dog for a muzzle.

I have a wire basket from them and I'am very happy with the quality and workmanship.

Also, you might wanna do a "search" on muzzles here, there are some great info to be found here :headbang:

Good Luck,
N

Baskerville Ultras are fantastic! They're on the cheaper side, they're light, they're sturdy, you can treat them through it, they can pant, drink, etc.
It's much more comfortable for the dog.

This is my gal with hers. I'll be getting my boy one for racing too.

I'll third or fourth the baskervilles :) We used them at first when we start lure coursing. They fit all of those requirements you have (which were ours as well). It's light but sturdy, we haven't had any issues with it.

I also vote Baskerville!

A lot of Petco stores are carrying the brand now, so you may be able to size them in person.
