AKC debut and new title (Malinois)

Postby Adrianne » Sun Mar 25, 2012 7:52 pm

This weekend Sloan made her AKC agility debut and walked away with four 100 pt first place Qs, three of them were in standard and one was in JWW. The JWW thrilled me because day 1 we NQ'd because my dog was way too up and day 2 we NQ'd because I literally ran my dog into a jump, so as you can imagine finally figuring things out was so rewarding.

The trial was a lot of fun but omg the wind on the last day. I saw way too many ez ups break, even ours , the table literally lifted off the ground and the panel jump fell over in btwn 24 and 20 inch (thank god no dog was running!).

Anywho, a few photos from the weekend:

Dad's stoked, dad wants to steal her back now, grrrrr my agility dog! lol

And the girly with her ribbons, four 1st places and a title completed.

Sadly I have no videos of the runs (I got superstitious about having them filmed) but I leave you with this... after getting home we're exhausted, unfortunately she disagrees.

Thanks for looking guys

Congrats!

I deal with the "crazy dogs after agility trial" by giving them something to chew on. Usually, it's been raw bones, but I think I might move away from giving them bones, so I'm thinking stuffed Kongs now. That way, I can rest while they expend effort trying to get every last scrap of food.

Congrats to the beautiful girl! I had to laugh about the video because I have one that's similar on it was a soggy stuffy being shoved into my friends face while she was trying to sleep.

Thank you all! I can't wait for the next trial, I'm hooked. I'm considering putting Arnold in preferred until Backup is up and running as well, I am having too much fun with it all.
