* NO insult intended for those with dogs of these names... There's nothing wrong with the actual names, they just get seen a LOT in shelters!

The people at the Humane Society I used to volunteer at come up with the most crazy names for the dogs there and sometimes I am like "Are you serious?".

I do think it's funny by breed, pit bulls are always Diesel or Tank or Blue, on the Great Dane forum I'm on there's a lot of Apollos and Titans. The dog we just adopted was called Honey by the shelter and we couldn't stand that.

Since I have not been around too many PitBull Rescue dogs I'm not sure what a typical name might be, but as far as Basset Hounds go... If I never see another Chloe again it will be too soon. In our house we had no less than 5 over the years. Really??

AND in my house, we have 'owned' 2 Jasmine dogs. Really??? As if there is not another female dog name that would work?

What's funny is, right after we got Capone I joined PBF. It was at this point that the board has had several. How was I to know????

Then, it has become apparent that everyone is now naming their dogs Hannah This was my great-grandmothers name. I always thought of it as sacred!

My dad's dog is Trixie, his girlfriend's dog was Angel and we have Jasmine - The huge family joke is that between us we have a trio of stripper dogs.
As for Cowboy. That is a GREAT name for a low lumbering, slow meandering Basset

Hershey (i used to work at a day care with THREE chocolate labs named hershey, always made me think of the phrase 'hershey squirts') Mocha, Max, Cooper.

My cousin just got engaged to a Cooper... every time I hear the name.. I think of a dog - golden retriever.

Now... on the other hand, the name Deno. I have seen 1 other dog named Deno (spelled that way) and 1 spelled Dino on the boards. I've actually met more people with the name Dino... I might be biased, but I love that name

I too have a Buddy. Shes a girl. We also didn't name we and I can't stand it.

haha, well no.. since it was someone on a pit bull forum... perhaps I could have been reading one of my own posts!
