True, but all the information they are gathering is making these more accurate as years go by. The biggest problems seem to occur when its a true "mutt" with small amounts of multiple breeds, and when there are lineages from other countries involved.

I'm keeping an eye on things, and when I have spare cash, I plan on having it done on both my dogs someday.

What breeds comprise a mutt is clearly interesting to most, if not all, dog owners, but beyond simple curiosity, is there any value to knowing?
