Grain Free Canidae

Postby jrsapbt » Mon Aug 04, 2008 1:46 pm

I've been negotiating with my local feed store with the new Canidae bags and pricing and was told Canidae has a new grain free formula coming out soon.

Has anyone else heard about this?

I'll have to try it...as long as they don't put Sunflower Oil in it...I'm fairly sure that's why my dogs didn't do so well on it.

I was hopeful we might be able to try it too but after reading the ingredients list, I see sunflower oil in all of them  My dogs didnt do well on it because of that same reason. Boooo, guess we're gunna be stuck on Nature's Variety forever! (which is really starting to hurt the pockets!!)

I believe there were changes made to all formulas, however 3 new formulas will be out soon. These include the 2 grain-free and a beef and ocean fish formula.

We just got a new bag of the regular "All Life Stages" Canidae with the new formula. It's 35lbs instead of 40lbs, but the same price

Anywho, my pit didn't have any reaction to it (she has an iron stomach) but my Boston did throw up and have a little case of the runs on the first day, but is just fine today...

Canidae has been talking about revamping all their foods and coming out with new ones for a while. Hopefully they will keep the prices competitive.
