Postby alwyzchanging » Thu Aug 28, 2008 12:10 pm

We should totaly update the top 5 foods thread just because the old post has foods that have since changed their ingredients. So if you know anything about premium dog foods, please share with us!

5 foods is really hard to narrow it down to, especially when it all depends on the dog.

I guess my top 5 list would include (in no order):

-Wellness/Wellness CORE (ocean, regular and reduced fat)
-Eagle Pack Holistic varieties
-Innova/Innova EVO
-Canidae
-Taste of the Wild

You could add more, but if you want top 5 those are the most popular that I can think of.

If you wanted to add more:

-Natures Variety kibble (I haven't had good experiences, but others have)
-Natural Balance
-Diamond Naturals
-Solid Gold
-Pinnacle
-Avoderm
-Orijen/Acana
-Kirkland Costco brand
-Premium Edge
-Eagle Pack (regular)
-California Natural
-Blue Buffalo varieties/Blue Buffalo 'Wilderness' grain-free
-Merrick varieties/Merrick 'Before Grain'
-Artemis

That's all I can think of right now...I'm sure more will come to me later.

I switched Izzy to Natures Logic, and have been extremely happy with it.
Her coat shimmers, and according to my vet (except the blown knee), she is the pinnacle of health.
It's also a bit more affordable for me at $44 for 26#.
They also have a buy 10 get 1 free on-line offer. Always a help.
Anyone else feeding this to their dogs?, Any opinions are always welcome.

no "Chicken Soup for Dog Lovers"?? or is that under "Diamond Naturals"???

I need to find something for Oreo....so far the Chicken Soup one has been the best...not to mention its not as expensive as I thought it would be....I would like to try the Timberwolf brand but they dont ship to Hawaii...I have to find somewhere else that has it and will ship to hawaii for a reasonable price....I try petfooddirect.com and they dont even show the amount for shipping it just says "a representative will contact you with shipping price"

Chicken Soup should be added too; another one that slipped my mind (could be beside Diamond Naturals).

Hey All-

Not to hijack this topic, but does anyone know what happend to Barponys?

I really liked her original "Top 5" and was hoping she would have updated it (even though my Jake is on RAW, just wanted to know how much things has changed).

Now back to our original broadcast

:peace:

I was reading on the original thread that Innova/EVO wasnt a good food, have they updated their ingredients?
