Weight question

Postby lil*Halo » Thu Sep 18, 2008 11:57 am

I have a just over 6 month old female APBT. She weighs 47 lbs. I always thought it was normal because she does not look fat. I feed her 1 cup of wellness 2 times a day. Do you think this is an appropriate weight?? Do you think I am feeding her too much?

She looks fine to me..

My pup will be 6 mos. on the 22nd of this month and he weighed 43 last Monday, of course the first 8 weeks of his life he was negelected and way under feed, so your pups weight sounds about right. :))

My pup, a mix of likely Pit Bull and Dane, was 45.2# at 18 weeks and is now, at 13 months, 88.9#. She looks like she'll be a bigger girl and probably sit around 60# fit guaging from some former fosters who were at about that weight at 6 months... not fit or fat, just puppy.

Someone said they're about 75% of their adult weight at 6 months but I can't remember where I heard that so no idea if that's true.

She looks like a healthy girl. Her skin and coat look nice and she appears from your pics to be a nice weight.
