skin problems

Postby Megatom » Wed Oct 22, 2008 6:31 am

Titus has been having some skin problems lately. His belly, armpits, and around his eyes and nose are all very pink and irritated. He scratches at his armpits and licks his belly. He also has small bumps under his fur that you can see through the fur.

We took him to the vet and he gave Titus 2 shot and the next day the itching stopped and the bumps and irritation were gone. It's been 3 weeks and they are back again.

I have a feeling that he has a grass allergy. I've tried oatmeal shampoos and they don't seem to work. I just tried Sulfodene and that seemed to quell the itching for a bit. But the poor boy still seems bumpy and pink.

Any suggestions?

Ty has allergies and I was recommended by the vet to give him allergy medicine. After blood tests, of course. He is allergic to quite a bit and we give him Claritin.
