She's been a trooper! Walking great on it and doesn't seem affected by it at all. She still goes crazy when we come home and does her 1/2 jumps which I think would kill. She does steps and has trotted on it. She must not feel that good as she hasn't tried playing w/ Emmett at all yet. Mainly laying on the couch (special treatment) and out to potty.

It's healing good but just looks weird right now. We'll get used to it and when the nice white hair grows in that will help too.

Eve's foot is going to look okay. I bet if people don't know they won't even notice once she's out doing her SAR. She's a trooper and so are you and your wife!! And Emmett!!

Thanks cecollins.

I hove an updated foot picture I'll try to post tonight. Been ripping my basement apart and busted out some concrete to plumb a shower and to take out a pour in furnace stand.

Went to vet to get stitches out today. Bad news she has a slight infection. She's ripped her bandage off about 3 times (every other day or so) and licked the wound causing bacteria to get in there. Then when it's wrapped the moisture has let it breed some. Good news she thinks it will be gone once it drys out and we apply a topical silver based ointment. So we have to leave it open to the air to dry it out and kill everything but she MUST wear a cone at all time when we can't watch her....she's not impressed!!! Oh well just a slight bump in the road of recovery. She's only 10days out of surgery Best part is NO LIMP!!

Here is a pic of her foot today

Looks WAY better tonight. Way less red! She hates the cone. Will stand there in one place w/ her head down and just look at you....she HATES it :)

Been about 3 months since I've posted about Eve. I wanted to show how the toe healed up. She has zero limping and can run and play crazy. Once in a while after laying for a while she'll act still for a min or so but then just fine.

Here is my "pittie 3 toes" as we like to call her today
