Swollen ear from fight

Postby 565Customz » Tue Dec 09, 2008 3:48 pm

so my roommates dog attacked nitro the other day. and i should of let nitro tear into his ass but i didnt. (third time his dog has attacked mine unprovoked :po: ) anyways by holding nitro back he got bit on the base of the ear. now its swollen and standing straight up. well it was. he scratched at it and it bled out all over the place and went back down. what should i do? i dont think he needs stitches. if he does though i got news for my roommates bank account. :po:

:frown: I'd get him into the vet to have it looked at for sure, as soon as you can. There's no way of knowing what kind of damage was done.

no... im actually at the library. my computer at home died. its just a cut about a inch long about a 16th of a inch deep at the bottom of his right ear...it doesnt even look that bad lol. i think it might be a hemotoma from scratching at his ears and shaking his head all the time lol. (dont ask i dont know why he does it lol)

I feel you there...Hannah needed both of her knees done, among all the normal appts as well...so my tally if I had to take a guess (in the year I've had her) is roughly $8,000...:)) But I wouldn't have it any other way...she's 110% worth it!

i love my pits, but my mutts dont get sick half as often lol. seriously my adoption mutt has never even had a cold. the only money ive had to spend on him is for hip replacement when he got hit by a car, and shots/heartworm meds. thats it lol.

I hope everything turns out alright and it's just some stitches and an antibiotic! Keep us posted on what happens at the vet! :)

if it is a hemotoma, then it will probably need to be fixed so his ear doesn't shrivel up like a cauliflouer
maybe it is time to keep these two separate from now on?
